The Golden Ears Chamberfest
Our Story
The Golden Ears Chamberfest is founded by Canadian clarinetist Minghao Liu and pianist Melody Sham in 2023. It is home for a group of young professional musicians that holds a passion for bringing music into public spaces to share with both the local and online community. Throughout our journeys as musicians, we were all empowered by the culturally embracive harbour of the Canadian west coast, and we want to give back to this growing centre of the arts by sharing our own artistry. We recognize music as the eternal language of peace and empathy that transcends barriers of differences. We strive to build bonds between the diverse cultural pockets in the Greater Vancouver Area through the shared love of music.

What we do
The Golden Ears Chamberfest was started just as a group of friends that wanted to bring music to various corners of the city. Every year, we are running a week-long music tour across the Greater Vancouver Area, performing at various community gathering places. We will be performing a set program that showcases some brilliant pieces of classical music that have been greatly appreciated by audiences domestically and internationally.
Our Vision
As musicians developed in the 21st century, we recognize the importance of keeping local live music alive as a way for people and organizations to come together. Art thrives on accessibility, so the Golden Ears Chamberfest will always endeavor to bring professional and quality musical performances to the doorsteps of the local community. It is our goal to bring more accessible, high caliber, and professional performances to this bustling artistic centre that is Vancouver, and attract more musicians to appreciate the beautiful physical and cultural milieu of west Canada.

In 2024, the Canadian chamber music scene welcomed Nuages Trio, a dynamic ensemble featuring clarinetist Minghao Liu, pianist Melody Sham, and cellist Yiyang Xue. With each member being highly acclaimed in their field, Nuages Trio promises a captivating musical journey filled with rich performances.
Their mission is to explore the boundless potential of chamber music, offering audiences a charming world of music through unique interpretations and superb skills. They aim to establish themselves on both Canadian and international stages, continuously challenging themselves and striving for excellence.
